About Dani

With a sound described as wistful and impressionistic, Italian-bred, California-based singer-songwriter, Daniela Galasso (Dani), is making waves with her own brand of indie pop–an ethereal fusion of dream pop and folktronica–with imaginative, reflective storytelling, atmospheric textures, and a polished aesthetic.

Dani’s humble beginnings started as a curious 5-year old–figuring out complex melodies by ear on her toy piano–and evolved into her being an accomplished singer-songwriter with notable awards such as 2nd Place in Indie International's 2022 Songwriting Contest in the Pop Category for her song, “Yesterday’s Story,” a semi-finalist title in ISC’s competition for her song, “Sway,” and several honorable mentions for her song, “Embers.”

Dani has an eclectic set of musical influences ranging from artists such as Taylor Swift, Sia, Ellie Goulding, Illenium, Imogen Heap, and Maggie Rogers.

Leading with a combination of head & heart, and writing about life's deepest feelings, Dani infuses lyrical and ideological depth into her music, combined with enchanting sounds that evoke other worlds, seamlessly intertwining imagination and reality. Dani’s vocals immediately draw you in with their vulnerability, delicate airiness, and hypnotizing ethereal quality.
